Chorus GAS plugin consists of four independent modules of delay lines, which are tuned to the required keys from the full MIDI range (from C0 to G10), which allows you to get quite interesting combined effects - chorus, flanger, phaser, vibrato, etc., within one plug-in. Thanks to the tuning of the delay lines to the key, quite interesting types of tonal choruses and flangers are realized, imitating interval, chord, pentatonic and other sound combinations that cannot be realized through other effects. Another distinctive feature of this effect is the presence of an adjustable high-pass filter in the feedback loop, which gives a peculiar flavor to the sound, reminiscent of flight.

Parameters and Controls

As described above, the plug-in has four independent delay lines, referred to as Ch1, Ch2, Ch3, and Ch4. Each channel has nine user-adjustable parameters. You have the ability to adjust the parameters of the same name in all channels simultaneously using the mouse. To do this, by pressing the Alt key, you can adjust the handles not only by dragging the mouse, but also using its wheel.

#1, #10, #19, #28 Channel enabled
Control: Toggle
States: On or Off

This switch enables audio processing by the current processing channel.

#2, #11, #20, #29 Level
Control: Knob "Level"
Range: -∞ to 0 dB

Allows you to adjust the output level of the current processing channel.

#3, #12, #21, #30 Note
Control: Knob "Note"
Range: C0 to G10

Allows you to adjust the delay time of the current signal processing channel according to the frequency of the note.

#4, #13, #22, #31 Detune
Control: Knob "Detune"
Range: 0 to 50 cents

Creates a slight detuning of the note of the current processing channel. This parameter adjusts the tuning difference (in cents) between the left and right channels of the stereo sound.

#5, #14, #23, #32 Depth
Control: Knob "Depth"
Range: 0 to 100.0%

Modulation Depth controls the range of change in the key of the processing channel and its associated delay time. The maximum value is an octave from the tuning note.

#6, #15, #24, #33 Rate
Control: Knob "Depth"
Range: 0 to 20 Hz

Sets the modulation rate of the processing channel, i.e. the speed at which the delay is modulated. The value indicates the number of complete LFO cycles per second.

#7, #16, #25, #34 Wave
Control: Switch "Wave"
States: Sinus, Triangle, Exponent, Peak

LFO stands for Low Frequency Oscillator. It determines how the delay will vary over time according to any of the predetermined predefined waveforms. Switching the control will change the available LFO waveforms of the processing channel.

#8, #17, #26, #35 Feedback
Control: Knob "FBack"
Range: -1.0 to 1.0

Sets the amount of signal that will be returned to the delay line of the processing channel. A negative parameter value means whether the feedback signal will be inverted reversed before being fed back into the delay lines.

#9, #18, #27, #36 Low cut
Control: Knob "L.Cut"
Range: Off., 20 Hz to 20.000 Hz

Allows you to adjust the frequency of the low cut filter in the feedback loop of the processing channel delay line. A minimum value of 20 Hz leaves the signal unchanged.

#37 Dry/Wet Ratio
Control: Knob "Dry/Wet"
Range: 0 to 100.0%

This setting is used to control the ratio between the wet (effect) and dry (original) sound. A value of 50% corresponds to the same dry and wet values. Parameter adjustment is carried out according to the sinusoidal/cosine law.

Presets and Banks

The plugin provides built-in tools for working with presets and banks, which are independent of your host application. Using these tools, you can not only select and edit presets, but also work with presets and banks from external files. Consider the following context menu commands for working with presets and banks:

Presets

In the submenu that appears, you can select the desired preset from the current bank.

Restore Preset

With this command you can undo all changes to the current preset, or in other words - restore the preset.

Modify Preset...

If you need to make changes to the current preset, use this command. At the same time, the dialog box for making changes will be displayed, where you can also set a new preset name, although this is not necessary. When you click OK, the changes will be made. To close the dialog without any changes, click Cancel. It should be noted that not all host applications save the current bank in a session, so if you are not sure about this, we recommend that you save the modified presets or banks yourself as files.

Load Preset...

Replaces the current preset with the loaded from the file. When this command is called, a dialog box opens in which the required .fxp file is indicated.

Save Preset...

Saves the current preset to a file. When this command is called, a dialog box opens in which the required .fxp file is indicated.

Load Bank...

Replaces the current preset bank with the one loaded from the file. When this command is called, a dialog box opens in which the required .fxb file is indicated.

Save Bank...

Saves the current preset bank to a file. When this command is called, a dialog box opens in which the required .fxb file is indicated.
