Ambient Reverb plugin acts on the principle of high-quality algorithmic reverb with the calculation of sufficiently dense in time sound reflections, which allows to obtain realistic reverb without granulation effect.
Reverb or reverberation can be seen as a series of echoes so dense that they cannot be distinguished from each other, provided that the intervals between the reflected signals are less than 100 ms. With an increase in the interval between incoming sounds over 100 ms, the subjective perception of a person marks a separate echo.
It is intended primarily for working with sound material in the ambient genre, although it can be successfully applied to other musical styles and directions. A distinctive feature of the plugin is a wide range of reverberation time (up to 100 seconds), which allows you to get different types of reverb in nature, as well as the ability to literally freeze sounds, while receiving interesting sound pads, like Frippertronics.
In the latest 7th version, the ability to smoothly adjust the "Size" parameter has been added, as well as the modulation of delay lines from an ultra-low frequency oscillator (LFO). Another feature of the new version is the separation of the input signal into mid and side components, which allows you to select one of these components in the required proportion using the "Split" parameter for reverberation processing, as well as pre–panamination. These functions are undoubtedly important in professional audio work.

We do not recommend installing several versions of the Ambient Reverb plugin in your system. This can cause collisions when using the plugin.
macOS
On macOS, you can install plugins to either the Macintosh HD Library folder or your user account's Library folder. It is advisable to place plug-ins in the Macintosh HD Library so that all users of the computer can access it. Paths to folders with plugins can be like this:
Format | Path |
---|---|
VST2 | /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST /Users/[your username]/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST |
VST3 | /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 /Users/[your username]/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST3 |
AudioUnits (AU) | /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components /Users/[your username]/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components |
After copying the plugin file to the destination folder, you may need to scan for new VST plugins, depending on the DAW you are using.
Attention, due to Apple's current policy regarding developers from Russia, the plugin is not signed and not notarized, so if you have problems installing it, we recommend running the following command in the terminal:
sudo xattr -rds com.apple.quarantine [full path to plugin]
Where [full path to plugin] is the full path to the installed Ambient Reverb plugin.
You can read more detailed information on working with the plugin in the help manual.
